Golf Courses in Washington (Note: I've not played a bad course in Washington)
1. Eagle's Pride (JBLM)
My local course. It's a military course located off-post and open to the public. Photo is Hole 7 (par 3) on the Green Course. 27 holes on the Red, Blue and Green courses.
Hole 15 on Blue (par 4) |
Hole 18 on Blue (par 5) from the club house |
Overlooking the 18th green |
2. Whispering Firs (JBLM requires base access)
If you like bunkers this is the course for you |
You can just see my wife |
4. Port Ludlow GC (Port Ludlow)
Love the carts on Port Ludlow |
This course famous for the tree stumps, they were brought in evidently |
5. Gold Mountain (Bremerton)
Two courses Cascade and Olympic, we played Cascade |
6. Mount Si Golf Course (Snoqualmie)
Liquid Sunshine |
We have drive contests, looks like I out drove her which doesn't happen often |
7. Hawks Prairie Golf Course (Lacy)
Beautiful European style course |
10. Lake Spanaway (Spanaway)
This is more of an event 2 person scramble in December. Started with closest to the pin |
Part of the entry they gave you 4 beer tickets, YO can't drink so 8. Beer stops on the course |
11. Three Rivers Golf Course (Kelso)
One of my favorites |
12. Allenmore Golf Course (Tacoma)
Believe this is a memorial |
13. Tahoma Valley Golf Course (Yelm)
She'll practice putting while I drink a beer |
I joke it's the yardage marker. I believe its something to do with a pipeline |
14. McCormick Woods Golf Club (Port Orchard)
First Tee |
Added this shot I think on the 3rd par 3. Next fairway through the trees. You lad drove off on that hole and the ball came close, you can see the ball |
Hole 5 tee, I like those signs. |
9th green in front of the club house |
YoungOak driving |
She out drove me on the 17th par 5 |
Both on the green, miles apart |
17th I think, pretty course |
Driving off on 18, mine's in the bunker |
16. Sun Country Golf Course (Cle Elum)
Shot from the Hole 1 green, see the club house etc. |
Another nice course in Washington |
Says it all |
From the teebox on 15, par 3. Quite the cliff |
17. American Lake Veterans Golf Course (Lakewood)
First time I've played it, Front 9 is nice, fairly easy course |
Ever wonder where carts go when retired |
18. Meadow Park Golf Course (Tacoma)
I like the 150 markers with the color code for the pin position |
And the directional signs |
Fairly representative of the front 9, flat and ego booster. |
Whoever wrote this sign never saw me play |
Back 9 gets pretty hilly |
Appropriately numbered 13, green across the ditch, stairs to the green |
Bridge going to hole 14 from 13 green |
Had fun, nice course |
19. Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course
See the crab carved into mound on the right |
Fairly easy and flat course |
Pretty Though |
Marker on the Par 5, I still had 240 yards to go |
Supposed to be the driest course in Western Wa. |
See the crab in the water hazard |
Greens were super fast
20. Lake Wilderness Golf Course (Maple Valley)
| Water Hazard |
| Do some riding around the neighborhood |
| Tee boxes were under repair, these are temps |
| Front 9 is fairly narrow got to watch for errant golfers. Back 9 opens up | 21. Apple Tree (Yakima)
| Great course, they have these fake coyote's all over |
| Hell of a bunker
| The famous Apple Green
| The box on the first tee contains free apples
